Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year!!

As of late Miss Lucy just wants to act silly when I try to take her picture. She knows that she is being silly - which I find amusing. I asked her if I could take her picture and she agreed. When she sat down I told her to say, "Happy New Year". At that she said, "I need horn" She ran upstairs to find her horn from Mimi and Papa's New Years Eve party. When she couldn't find that she opted for....

Her Kazoo!

Which was followed by her harmonica!

She then closed her eyes and laughed when I asker her to smile!

She hid in the closet.
Until she finally came out and

Gave me that little smile that I love so much.
Gung Hay Fat Choy!!!!!

I Love To Iron!

Lucy received an ironing board as a gift for Christmas. I must say she just loves it and uses it almost every day. I put together a little basket of hand towels for her. She goes through the basket removing one towel at a time. She then shakes the towel out as hard as she can, lays it on her ironing board and goes to work! She folds all of the towels when she is finished, puts them back in the basket and yells, "Done ironing" when she is finished. Thanks Aunt Nora for the perfect gift!

Setting up shop!

Everything is ready

Here I go!

Time to fold my towels

Christmas Memories

We enjoyed our time away and I am just now catching up and trying to get organized. The tree is down and the decorations have been put away. Lucy was quite sad and upset when I started taking everything down. She asked me if the tree was going "night night". I explained that yes it was going night, night until next year. She hugged it, said night, night and then proceeded to hug every decoration, storage box and ornament as I was putting them away- needless to say it was a looong afternoon. She helped wrap every ornament - which was quite an ordeal. We got it all put away and the house seems somewhat empty.

That being said I am looking forward to the beginning of a new year! I always love a new year and the promise that it holds! We loved our time away and had so much fun visiting with our family. Lucy loved seeing both sets of Grandparents. We celebrated an early Christmas with Grandma Wilma and all of Lucy's great aunts and uncles. She was the only little one and was the center of attention! She loved playing that role and relished in the moment. We then headed to St. Louis where she enjoyed time with 22 cousins, many aunts and uncles and her beloved Mimi and Papa! We loved being away but are glad to be home. The night we got home I took Lucy upstairs to put her to bed. When I put her in bed she said, "Lucy's bed" she then smiled and said night night Mommy, closed her eyes and fell fast asleeep. I think she was glad to be home as well. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and hope the New Year is filled with much happiness!!!! Happy New Year and Good Cheer to all!!!
