Summer Favorites

I don't like thinking about Summer coming to an end, as we have enjoyed every single minute of it. Since Labor Day is the "unofficial" end of Summer I thought I would share some of Lucy's favorite things to do this Summer! I hope to continue to post more warm weather photos - just thought I would share these for now. We are getting ready to enjoy some time away. I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday weekend! Enjoy!

Lounging on the lounge chair
Enjoying an ice cream treat every now and then
Wearing her fancy pjs that we brought back from China while watching the Olympics

Making sure that the sprinkler is just right to water the lawn

Running through the sprinkler on a hot day

Packing her bag for a sleepover at Aunt Maggie's house
Picking Mommy's tomatoes before they are red :)

Going to the park
Hanging out with Mol and Donor (Molly and Conor)Eating anything and everything that she can get her hands on!

Tiny Bubbles

Lucy loves blowing bubbles. It took her a while to master her bubble blowing skills - but she finally got it! She still gets a little surprised and oh so happy when she sees those little bubbles flying through the air.

Time to open my bubbles
Here I go

More bubbles!
I could do this all day!

Where did they go?

I love watching the bubbles fly away

This is so much fun!

Holy Guacamole

Anyone who knows Lucy knows that she loves to eat! Recently one evening we were sitting outside and I was going to take a picture of Lucy with her Daddy. She grabbed a chip before I could stop her and then when she was on her dad's shoulders she spied the bowl of guacamole that was sitting on the table. After that there was no getting her attention. She was on a mission to get her guacamole.

Is that guacamole that I see?
Take me over there
Daddy if I give you a kiss will you take me to the table?

Here I come guacamole

Ahhh Finally

This is so good!

I can't get enough!

I don't even need a chip.

Pool Memories

I love Summer and everything that comes with it. For my entire life I have loved going to the pool. When I was young I would stay in the pool all day swimming and jumping off of the diving boards until my Mom told me it was time to go home. As I grew older I still loved going to the pool but more for relaxation than anything else. I loved to lie in a lounge chair, read a book, catch up on my magazines, have a cold drink, talk to friends and people watch. I would get in the pool to cool off but rarely got my hair wet (not because I have great hair but because I didn't see any need to) I enjoyed just relaxing by the pool.
Fast forward to Summer, 2008 and things have changed for the lazy girl who loved lounging by the pool. I now have a one year old who loves the pool and we go to a pool that has one of these...
Who invented this thing?! Certainly not someone who went to the pool with their toddler. Lucy loves it! She gets excited when she sees it and needless to say she needs me to accompany her on it as she is still too little to handle it on her own. She loves every single water feature.

I actually squeezed into this tube slide and held Lucy on my lap so that she could enjoy the ride.

I stand under this waterfall because it is by far her favorite feature. Guess what? I no longer have dry hair at the pool:)

So this summer at the pool I have yet to read a book, catch up on my magazines, have a cold drink that I call my own and I never go home with dry hair. But I have to say it has been the best summer ever at the pool because I am there with Lucy!

Ohhh I'm cold!

Who wants to read a book when I can play with this little cutie ?!

Thanks for making my days at the pool the best ever
Miss Lucy!

We have a chalkboard in our kitchen that Lucy has come to love. She refers to the chalkboard as,"Guy". For a long time she wanted nothing to do with Guy but now that she is almost his height she loves to play with him and won't leave him alone. Every day I catch her doing something new to Guy- poor Guy!

Lucy loves to hide behind Guy
Here I am Mom
She likes to "honk" his nose
Put sunscreen on him
Don't forget his ears
She examines his hat
I'm going to give him some milk Mom

I think I will also put my bow in his hair
